Prologue

"We could be timeless, we could be classic, we could be stars, we could be Rose Gold."

April Rose is a normal girl, or at least she thought so until Hydra came knocking on her door and murdered her father. Whatever she is, she's not inhuman, that's for sure. At least she is safe at S.H.I.E.L.D., safe from Hydra. But the question remains; in a world where nothing makes sense anymore, is she still safe from herself?
