After the Kyuubi attacked Konoha and got sealed in Naruto, Naruto was adopted by all the clans in konoha that had children his age all for one thing. To give Konoha's weapon a sense of security and to use him, but what they didn't count on is Naruto not being as oblivious as they think he would be. Specially with the power to read minds.
