After the death of her mother, Chloe Jones is sent to live with her father across the country. Leaving her friends, boyfriend, school and life behind, and beginning a fresh start.

After the divorce of his parents, Carter James is living with his mother, whilst continuing to keep his reputation of being the baddest of the bad boys. But deep down inside he is slowly breaking.

After the pair meet when they were both late to school one day, they notice the slowly crumbling pain seen through each other's eyes and eventually find themselves becoming closer as their painful days pass buy.

After all, everyone deserves a happily ever after. But not everyone gets one.
