Lucy lives in a town where there's two feuding dark guilds. One of them is Paradis, and the other is Fire Heart. Fire Heart is lead by the legendary Salmander, a fire wizard with a bad reputation. When Salamander hears about Lucy being a celestial mage, he has her captured and brought to his guild. The two don't get along at first, but as Lucy learns about Salamander's past, she decides to give him a chance.
