Burny Madden is burning little by little to death. A phenomenon known as Spontaneous Human Combustion causes parts of his body to ignite at random.

Burny discovers that with his burning comes mysterious healing power. The flames slowly killing him can even raise the dead. But a demon wants to burn him down to ashes before he realizes his true nature.

Burny must come to terms with his affliction and face an ancient evil to fulfill the purpose of his maddening existence.

But first, he must survive chronic burning and the tricks that his mind plays on him.
