"Everything in life happens for a reason." That is what Olivia Green's family always told her, but she disagrees. Olivia is convinced that the world is out to get her after her life takes a turn for the worse, and her whole world falls apart. After several tragedies occur, Olivia ends up moving across the country to live with her cousin Jay's family. The group works to make Olivia see the purpose of life, and how she needs to let go in order to live. Olivia experiences all the she had been longing for: friendship, acceptance and belonging.
