When Bella Swan changes her mind about staying with Edward Cullen as a sole mate and vampire she moves to Florida to be with her mother and step father Phill. Edward gives up on befriending and loving humans so when he meets Iris a fellow "vegetarian" vampire his emotions go crazy.
