Chapter 1 - Introduction

When a young man's journey of discovery turned into a nightmare, he had no choice but to face untold hardship and destitution. And in a land where he knew no one nor spoke the language, it seemed like rejection was at each corner he turned he almost lost hope.
He slept rough in places he didn't know and bagged the kindness of strangers for food. Then he broke international border controls knowing it was the one-way ticket to prison or a colourful removal if caught.
But what he found was worth more than the distress, the humiliation and the pain to gain.
