Warnings/info about the book

Carson has been in this auction house since he was 15, and now he is 17. He is thinking about packing up his stuff and leaving because no one wants him. He goes to talk to the administrators that run the auction house to ask if he could leave but before he got there he felt three men surround him and cover his mouth with a chloroform covered rag. What happens when he wakes up? Will he wake up?
