Without letting the King or Queen know, the monsters tested their theory and used their knowledge of souls on a live human specimen, hoping to further their own research. However, they didn't get the results they were hoping for and eventually gave up.

They weren't wrong, but the experiment wielded unbelievable results that would affect the future of both human and monster civilization as a whole.
