I walked towards him and stopped in front of him, smiling I reached behind him stroking his wing, feeling the soft feathers. They felt strong and I could feel the power radiating from them. I looked back up to Lucas smiling.

“Where’s your halo?” I asked, giggling. He chuckled and wrapped his arms around me. He bent his knees and pushed up, I felt a gust of wind as his wings started to push us upward, towards the clouds. I pushed myself further into Lucas, hiding my face in his chest. I felt his chest rumble along with his laugh as I cowered.

“Not a heights girl huh?” he laughed. I felt warmth spread over my skin and looked up, seeing the sun peeking through some clouds, causing Lucas’ wet hair to glow. There’s that halo.
