In an alternate universe the events of the game you knew were far different. After the war over the mana crystal, a quake shook the islands causing them to crash down to the earth below causing hundreds of deaths and a wasteland that would last forever. It took the residents of the islands, and humans of earth, thousands of years to adjust to the new conditions. Jobs were established and towns were made. People became bounty hunters, vigilantes, criminals, and even relentless killers. The only goal of many in the new enviroment was to survive and thrive.
