I agreed to go for one summer. That one summer was all it took for me to open up, let go, and be myself. My true self, not the girl who would spend all summer engrossed in cheesy love stories. I surprised myself this summer by letting go of the sweatshirts and sweatpants I accumulated over the years. I actually wore jean shorts. And I finally went to the beach. I finally went on a roller coaster. I finally let myself be me. I finally did something memorable. What surprised me the most was when I actually let myself fall in love again.
