"Take this," the silver of the knife glints in the moonlight, "you will have to slice his throat before midnight."

She had seen him on a ship. Hair flying majestically, eyes glinting with the ocean and crown hanging from a rope tied to his pants.

She didn't know him, but she yearned for him. Yearned for legs to get to him, for she knew he wouldn't like her fin.

But the legs came at a price. A price she was willing to pay until the price got too high.
In exchange for her legs, get the mer-king's head.

Would she kill, all for a prince she has never spoken to?
