“You’re going to help me,” Olivia said softly. “Because I’m seeing ghosts.”

Lips upturning, Darin looked pleased to say, “Sometimes there are consequences to gifts, darling.”

Smiling along with him, Olivia said, “I meant to say I’m seeing your ghost.”

He just looked at her.
