Prolouge

This thought came to me at about 1 in the morning when I was just staring out of my window at the stars. Enjoy! (P.S. All the names are Spanish for something to do with ice, emotions and weather. Coz life.)

Look at the stars. Right now, find the nearest window, and look at the sky. It doesn't matter if its day or night, sunny or cloudy. You know there's stars up there somewhere, don't you? And maybe, near one of those stars, a tiny planet goes round their sun inhabiting life. Maybe, near one of those stars, Humans sit and look at our Sun, seeing it as a star, and wondering if there's a tiny planet going round, inhabiting life. Maybe on that little planet, Humans are looking at their Moon and thinking about living on it someday, or how big and bright it looks on that particular night. And maybe, just maybe, those Humans know, they know that there's a young girl on a planet going round a distant star writing a book about them, without knowing that they exist.

"Look at the stars, Lluvia. Do you think you could count them?"
"It would take me years, and by then many would have been born, died out, and moved on. Just like life."
"You know, a young wise girl once told me when we first met when I was crying in the corner of the playground, that 'life is like riding a bike, to make sure you don't fall off, you've just got to keep going.' Then she took my hand, pulled me up and took me away to the wildest places in my imagination."
Lluvia smiles in the dark. She grabs Rayo's hand and grasps it tight.
"And a wise young boy once taught me that imaginations aren't to make you fear things you shouldn't, but for unlocking true potential."
This time it was Rayo's turn to smile. And so they both sat there smiling in the dark, as storm clouds rushed in to cover the brightness of the stars and the ghostly glow of the moon, and ice blue tears ran down their faces.
