Prologue

The first time we lose our innocence is when we are told that dandelions are not flowers, but weeds, and that they are not to be loved, but destroyed. There are some things that once you've lost, you never get back. In Lucky's case, it was a variety of things. His grace, his innocence, his humanity. It had all been stripped from him in one swift movement, crashing down onto the earth surface. He didn't regret it, he didn't ever wish to return back because he knew it was his destiny to live on earth
