Prologue

Farren Sterling is living in a facade of cheerleading, fake friends and a boyfriend who is probably cheating on her instead of facing her true self who loves to be underwater to escape her falling-apart family. Until the end of senior year when her brother - Wes - comes home from college to take her away to Nashville, Tennessee, to a house that belonged to their mother's best friend - Marya; a place they had visited numerous times as children to spend summers with Marya and her two sons, until Marya passed away.
