Based in a post-apocalyptic world much resembling Earth as it once was, peaceful and undisturbed, quickly takes a turn for the worst. Worldwide devastation and mass extinction occurs, leaving some luckily unscathed- but those who were left behind soon came to be the highest level of threat to those lucky few, now resembling anything but humans. Dangerous, and capable of anything.
