Maki Hatake. Former Konoha ninja, former anbu root. It's been about two years since Daitaro and Maki have left the Root. Traveling across lands and territories with Daitaro has been all but interesting for Maki. Fun, fame, fortune. Alright, Maybe not those last two. Things have been quiet and sunny on Maki's end of the rainbow. But what'll happen when her past comes back to remind her of her former life? When she runs into some old friends that desperately need help. The akatsuki are back on the radar and Maki senses it. She let them get away a year ago, but this time it's different.
