A war for Love's Sake

When I wrote this poem I was in the height of my love for someone, I felt this love maddening and I was prepared to do whatever pleased him, however, he did not know that I loved him and as this love went against society's conventions, ideas were merged and I felt I was battling against everyone and everything to preserve this unreciprocated love. In the end I wrote a very complex poem, sophisticated to express my profound emotions without losing any dignity whatsoever.
