Prologue

(This is after the war between Polmn and Powers)

Maya Warmheart has always been afraid of the fire. Ever since her cousin set their house on fire from anger, it killed her twin brother, her parents and her little sister. She lives with her uncle in Coradi Springs as a Polmn.

One morning, Maya wakes up in the woods. She knows nothing of the night before. And somehow her teacher finds out about some heated happening and she's sent to Faerin to attend a school for Powers.
