Harley's life has been anything but ideal. She lives on welfare, her mother is an alcoholic, her father is dead and at school she is constantly bullied.

As if life could get any worse, she and the school 'bad boy', Carson King, end up trapped together in detention. But maybe Carson's the only person who can show her that she's been trapped her whole life and... maybe he can set her free.
