Inspired by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's 'Sherlock Holmes', this is yet another 'murder mystery', 'whodunnit', or even 'Sherlockesque' story. This time our enigmatic detective is Claude Ranson, aided by his younger brother Lawrence Ranson, and his father Basil Ranson. Taking the place of a 'Watson -type character', is George Gladstone. He has a sister, Agnes Gladstone, who takes the place of a younger 'Mrs Hudson-type character'. The rest I'm afraid, you will have to read for yourself.
