Description
The summer that Fay meets Adam at a masquerade party changes her life forever. A quick summer romance ensues, and Fay can't help but think how lucky she is to have found a guy just like her. But then, when tragedy strikes Adam's life, their relationship begins to fizzle almost as fast as it had started. Fay desperately wants to be there for him as a support, but how can she when he keeps turning to other people? Specifically, another girl? When Fay discovers something he's been doing behind her back that leaves her heartbroken, she promptly ends things with Adam. From there, she decides to apply for a college course which she gets accepted to and starts in two weeks. However, she doesn't want to spend the last two weeks of summer alone, so she meets James. Her and James hook up nearly everyday, and Fay is glad she's met someone on the same page as her. Just a little fun, nothing serious. She's still upset over what had happened with Adam, so she wants to push it out of her mind. A few weeks after school begins, Fay realizes how clingy James really is, and how suddenly possessive he's become of her. His unreasonable demands soon become frightening, and Fay is regretting ever meeting up with him. She feels scared, but feels like she has no one to turn to. That is, until she bumps into Adam at the mall. He tells her that he's missed her and wants to reconcile, so she decides to give him a chance. They talk that night on Facebook, and she confides in him what's been happening with James. Adam tells her that he will protect her from James, and soon becomes her constant companion. Their romance quickly fires up again after some time spent together. However, James is watching from the sidelines, not too happy about Fay's reconnecting with Adam.
