At the age of 3 Naruto is attacked by Konoha who were hired by a civilian council member to kill him the group of chuunin took turns torturing Naruto over the course of a week before they finally slit his throat and dumped his body in the forest of death. Desperate to survive Kyuubi forces Naruto's body to absorb any chacra in the area to heal him.
