Secret has been in foster care with her sister for almost all her life. She couldn't wait when she turned 17 so she could leave with her sister. The foster parents her sister and her have been staying with are abusive. Secret and Rose have been staying there for 3 years but they wouldn't let the duo leave. Finally Rose or Secret couldn't take it and ran away. Zander found them in the woods sleeping. Secret was Zander's mate.
