Chapter 1

Empty.

That's what the streets of Canagan were like after sun down.

Doors locked, windows shut, curtains drawn and silence. Complete silence.

Not a soul in sight; that is if you exclude the beasts.

Beasts.

Sounds funny huh? An entire village cowering and hiding from merely a fairytale, a myth or legend told in story books.

Little does anyone know our small village is surrounded by the creatures and has been for decades.

And maybe beasts aren't a fairytale after all, maybe some things so horrific really do exist and stalk and kill innocent lives in the midsts of the night, in the darkness...in the shadows.
