Amara Sutton is 17 years old, living in California right next door to her best friend, Joel Pimentel. Amara and Joel have been best friends for as long as they can remember. Amara begins to feel newer, stronger feelings towards Joel, and things begin to get complicated. During the summer before their Senior year, things begin to change for the two teenagers, and life as they know it gets turned upside down.
