Winnie Franklin grew up different than most kids in Third Ward - he parents were rich unlike the other kids, her dad was an exceptional professor and her mother was an incredible doctor. For Winnie success was not an option, but instead a necessity. While growing up she was often bullied for being a bit bigger than the other kids and yet there was one person that never made her feel different - Malachi. Malachi Jordan was the exact opposite of Winnie - his parents, while they both worked extremely hard, were not the richest of people but did their best to provide for him and his two other siblings.
