Chapter 1: The beginning

I remember where I was when it opened. I was scuba diving off the coast of Hawaii. I knew exactly when it opened. I felt it. I had seen the cave earlier that day. It was dark, but now, it was glowing. I realize now that it was probably stupid to scope out the cave. I thought it was stupid then too. Boy was I wrong. Wait... I've said too much. No one can know about what I just told you. It's a secret that should be kept only by me and Sydney. It's too dangerous for you too know. Tell my parents I loved them. Tell them I said goodbye. Oh how impolite of me. You don't even know my name. I am Kaitlyn and this is my story.
