Chapter 1

After being banished from his grim kingdom, Spike, an amiable dragon with a magical talent for growing greenery, ends up in a park in Ponyville. While struggling to adapt to his unfamiliar surroundings, he is befriended by a mare named Rainbow Dash, and her younger sister named Scootaloo. Soon, however, the evil earth pony queen named Gaia Everfree sets out to make Spike's life miserable, endangering both him, Rainbow Dash, and Scootaloo.
