The trigger to unleashing a dragon was it's sense of smell.

Summary : Natsu is going through mating years, he acts mean and controlling over all his friends. The only thing/person he is after, is the one and only Lucy Heartfilia. The longer he tries to control him self, the more his beast will come out. During this time, Natsu will not let anyone have Lucy, for she is to forever remain as his precious treasure.
