Prologue

Tyler wasn't in the best of boats. The only smiles that he allowed to happen were fake, covering up his inner pains. No one would ever guess that he was depressed, that he stared at the barrel of a gun almost every night. No one but Josh.

Josh wasn't normal. Not by any means. He was the red haired 'Nocturnal', as they called them. People who lived on the other side of the fence who only came out at night and glowed.

No one is allowed to cross the fence and go to the other side. It's against the law on both ways. One night Tyler places his hand flat against that fence and stares across it when a set of glowing eyes approach, another palm across from his, a wolfish smile greeting him with a deep voice.

"Hey there, cutie."
