Elena is now a vampire. its been fifty years since she left her home town: Mystic Falls. 50 years ago Elena lost almost everything. her turning into a vampire her brother dying and coming back to life. she lost herself. but now after half a century she realizes that she needs to go back and open up old wounds that she had kept buried deep inside of her for years. she's scared and afraid for what she might go through. seeing her brother, her house and most of all maybe seeing him. she lost him as well when she left. so what happens when out of the blue he sees her and they meet. does he still lover her like she does? or has he moved on? will her being back do any good? will she be able to stick around? what will he do?
