Chapter One: Blood Splattered Floor

Lucy Heartfilia, an experienced assassin. Known by her victims as Black Rose. Uncaring, bored, emotionless. Nothing happens in her life that is exciting.

Natsu Dragneel, a starter assassin, still innocent to the killing world. Known by his friends as a goofball. Everyday, he's always discovering something new.

When their boss, Makarov, assigns them into an assassin mission, Lucy is bored. She hated the starters; they were always useless on missions. Natsu, on the other hand, is excited; he would be working with an S-Class assassin.

Soon, however, Natsu finds out Lucy's past and personality, and tries to help her. Will Lucy push away his help, or begin to learn new emotions?
