Seto is living in fear as a slave under Lord Brice Solace. Seto knows what to do and what not to do by learning the hard way. He's given up on freedom, but sometimes opportunity comes.

Meanwhile, the dark mages are winning the war, pushing the Light Mage's line back, and back so far that they become desperate.
