Krista is Dr. Spencer Reid's daughter, his wife Mackenzie died in a car crash years prior. After losing touch with close friends after her death, Krista never expected seeing them again, but one school day changes her life.
Since she grew up around profilers, wouldn't it just make sense that she would be one too? After the police academy Krista moves to LA with her husband to be with the NCIS team.
