Chapter 1: The Death of a Friend

Months after the Shattered case closed, Cleo and her uncle have been hired by an unknown client, to solve the 1920 mystery of Brooklyn Hamilton, the surprising great uncle of Cleo.

With the help of his younger brother's diary, Cleo and Uncle Seth discovers a hidden speakeasy's bar, somewhere in a library.

They would then find meaning in Brooklyn's past, as he becomes smitten by an African-American waitress.

But with their relationship being private, Cleo wonders what the killer's motive is: love or bootlegging?
