Description
Nynilea's peaceful life along the vast sand flats of Sykeor is disrupted by a raid from the nearby kingdom of Shata. Nynilea's family is killed, and she is sold as a slave to a wealthy household, subject to the worst memories of her life. In her services to the household, one of the prince's of Shata begins to take an interest in her - her foreign background and nature gets both his attention and a way out. But getting back home won't be as easy as she thought. Captured by guards of a bustling city called Oris, she is placed in the care of the government. But her beautiful eyes betray what the commoners see as a bad omen - they think she is a Demon Shiva, a rare mermaid who can make her eyes turn orange and grow fangs in an instant. Escape is harder than she thinks. And the ocean is bigger than she could ever have imagined. Nynilea learns quickly to live up to her nickname; Viperfish.
