Chapter 1

Nola is just an ordinary girl, who goes to school, has friends, and eats food. (just like everyone else.) But the mysterious disappearance of her grandparents and father have made her extremely wary of who she trusts. She stays near to the one person who knew her father, Ben Blazing. A tragic accident leads to Ben's death and Nola starts encountering strange things. Suddenly, she is betrayed by a friend, and is whisked off to a place she never knew existed. But all throughout, all of her friends are hearing whisperings in the trees.
