Prologue

"Are you trying to intimidate me?" Came to his response which crumbled all the confidence I had just built up.

In an abnormally fast movement which I recognised as his vampire power, I was now on his bed with him on top of me. His minty breath fanned over my face as reality dawned on me. He was a King and I had tried to challenge one.

"As for your purpose here, you will not know until I decide. Do as I say and no one will get hurt." His finger traced my neck as he spoke those harsh words. I forgot he wasn't always nice. I guess I stepped over my boundaries trying to challenge the King. But something inside me didn't allow me to cower away in fear.
