Alex has made a terrible mistake. By generously taking in a sick man on the street, he has thrown himself into the middle of a centuries-long war. With so many now looking to him for help, Alex knows that he cannot turn a blind eye. Sometimes he wishes he hadn't looked down that alley in the first place.
