Prologue

There are principalities, dark forces, beings of earth and sky that we wage battle with every day, on account of mankind. With every passing year, there are fewer of us, servants of the most high, born of flesh and blood but strengthened by our faith in him. We are blessed with the strength of a hundred men and cursed with a foe, a hundred times stronger. If it weren't for Archangel Michael, his army, and especially the prayers of the faithful, we wouldn't survive a single day let alone 2013 years. We have been around since before the Lord walked the Earth, at his command we stood away when they came for him but we have been there since the beginning protecting the faithful. The oldest of us, Garion the servant of the centurion who was healed by the words of The Lord himself, leads us in our holy battle. We are Proeliator of Deus; the warriors of light, the demon slayers and we are seeking recruits. These are the chronicles of Esthran the demon slayer, born Annabel Perkins.
