Description
It's the beginning of the summer of 1977. Final exams are over and 18 year old Monica Brannigan and her best friend Paula leave their troubled home city of Belfast to embark on a fun-filled three day trip to London for Paula's 18th birthday, and to look at the universities that they applied for. But for Monica, three days becomes an eternity when she falls head over heels for Freddie Mercury, one of the hottest and most elusive rockstars on the planet. She stays behind with him and goes on to have a wonderful and romantic relationship, and two beautiful and mischievous children. But after a few years together, Freddie's fame and flaws, as well as Monica's senseless and impulsive decision at such a young age, soon have painful consequences on the happy life that they have built together...
