Janiyah Smith has just moved from her urban neighboorhood in Harlem, to a predominately white school in LA. She is happy for an opportunity for a fresh start, considering she was labeled as 'different' in her old school. However, upon arrival she realizes not everything is peachy keen. People see color, people see race. When the cutest, most popular guy in school, befriends the new black girl; it'll cause trouble. People just can't stand to see color cross.
