On the eve of a ball celebrating a successful treaty between neighboring kingdoms, Elizabeth meets two handsome strangers and reunites with her childhood friend. What seemed to be a whirlwind of allure and romance turns sour when her father, the king, is murdered and Elizabeth is forced to rise to her duty as queen. Who murdered her father? And why?
