"Just. Give. Up."

Those words hit me right in the heart like a samurai sword. I just stood there dead still on the pavement with an emotionless expression. I wanted to either punch something and scream or break down right in front of them. My balled-up fists were shaking with sadness and anger. My lips were pulled in a thin line trying to stop them from shaking. Tears were close to spill from my eyes.

"I will never give up," I said, my words completely lost from emotion.
