"When you let me go," I trail on, "did it hurt?" He smiles genuinely, "It did. It was the most painful thing I had to do but, I had to. I had to let you go." There are a million places on earth I want to go to, to see, to memorize, to experience. But through the places I've been, there's still one place I always go back to. Meeting him was an adventure, was a travel with an uncertain destination yet, it was the best ride I've ever been in. Only, one day I'm just led to believe that those journeys never happened. I woke up one day and time had left me. Fine details had been scratched, stories were rewritten, the writings on the wall painted over. . . and he never existed. Then I found his letter and his necklace, then suddenly, we were back to where we were.
