No Emily Young in this fanfic. This fanfic starts in New Moon. Cassandra Jane Lopez is a childhood friend of Bella Swan when she lived in Phoenix, Arizona. Cassandra and Bella kept in touch when Bella left Phoenix to live in Forks, Washington with Charlie. Cassandra finished her Junior year at Phoenix High School and decided to surprise Bella by going to Forks, Washington during the summer. Cassandra arrived at the Swan house when she finds out that Bella went missing. She stayed by Charlie's side throughout the whole search when she meets a young man from the La Push reservation named Sam Uley. Sam Uley is a Quileute shape-shifter. He is the Alpha of his pack and a lone wolf because he hasn't found his imprint yet. When he finds out that Chief Swan's daughter went missing, he decided to get her himself. Once he finds Bella, he carries her back to the Swan house when his eyes met with the most beautiful eyes he has ever seen. That is when Sam Uley realized that Bella's best friend is his imprint.
